Founded in 1823 by Gikeibei Kiuchi in present-day Naka City, Ibaraki Prefecture.
Starting with the sake " Kikusakari ", the company began producing Hitachino Beer in 1996. With a focus on traditional techniques and carefully selected raw materials, the company has been promoting Japanese sake brewing both domestically and internationally.
In 2016, we began producing whisky, and in 2020, we established the Yasato Distillery in Ishioka City, Ibaraki Prefecture, establishing a production system for Japanese whisky.
In addition to sake production, the company also operates a restaurant business as a place to enjoy food and sake, and operates restaurants such as " Hitachinobrewing " and " Kurakatsu " in the Kanto region.
